- Sustainable Reuse & Refurbishment
Wherever possible, CRUK prioritised reuse over recycling, in line with both organisations’ circular economy principles. 3 tonnes of equipment were rescued, refurbished, and redirected to people and organisations who need it most, like families, schools, charities, and community groups across the UK and Northern Ireland through CRUK’s Get Online @ Home programme. Every refurbished device saves approximately 300 kg of CO₂ equivalent compared to manufacturing a new device from scratch.
