This highlights Computer Recyclers UK commitment to become carbon neutral, reducing our carbon footprint in every way we can to look after our beautiful planet. The Environmental Impact of Refurbished Computers
Each refurbished computer we sell reduces carbon emissions by avoiding the green houses gasses (GHG) emissions associated with new manufacturing. The production of most new electronic devices generates significant greenhouse gases which contributes significantly to climate change. Refurbished computers are a lower impact alternative, extending the lifecycle of devices and helping us offset carbon emissions in the process.
Our Carbon Neutral Certification not only validates our commitment but also represents how businesses like ours can demonstrate genuine action toward climate targets.
By supporting carbon offsets and investing in verified carbon standard projects, we’re ensuring that our remaining emissions are effectively balanced.
How Computer Recyclers UK Supports Sustainability Goals
We have long chosen to operate in ways that are ethically and socially responsible – what has recently become known as Environmental & Social Governance (ESG),and our carbon neutral certifications fits perfectly within this. With certification awarded by an external organisation, it provides assurance that the carbon neutral claim is robust and credible, following calculation using the ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol Emissions Standard principles of relevance, completeness, consistency, transparency and accuracy.

Renewing our carbon neutral status involved a full certification process. This process allows us to show our impact, meet climate action targets and contribute to a cleaner air. By offsetting greenhouse gas and reducing emissions at every level of our operations, we’re accelerating our mission to a net zero world.
